Faculty Member, Psychology
Head of Children and Technology Lab
About
I study children's communication and interaction when working and playing together, at school and at home, in typical and atypical development, with peers, with parents and with teachers. I use technology as a way of uncovering the social developmental mechanisms underlying collaboration and interaction, and this often results in ideas about how to use technology effectively to support social interaction in children, including those with speech and language difficulties, problems in reading comprehension and those with autism spectrum conditions. I work in the highly collaborative and interdisciplinary setting of the ChatLab.
