About
My thesis traces the English legacy of the Situationist International, in order to reflect on the Anglicisation of Continental aesthetics and avant-garde traditions. I am writing the history of a forgotten period of avant-garde activity to consolidate the continued literary, political, and artistic relevance of the disparate manifestations of English Situationist practice. This interdisciplinary study has its roots in literary modernism, critical theory, and visual culture. It is AHRC funded.
